New Balance Fuellcell rebel 2.
Very light but cushioned. The geometry is good for fast transitions. Do it all but explosive feel, the more you put into them the bouncer they feel.

Are they good for road racing too?
The New Balance FuelCell Prism v1s have been great for me from 400m repeats up to tempo runs. I've run my 400m PR in them at the end of a workout as a 1500m-5000m guy. It's somewhat like the Rebel, but with a little stability. It's the only stability shoe I have and it doesn't feel clunky at all as they stereotypically do. I also have Saucony Endorphin Speeds for longer tempos runs, but they're too high off the ground for me to turn on the track comfortably. I have Skechers Razor 3s too, but they lost their pop after 50 miles because I tend to beat up the bouncier shoes pretty quick. If you're looking for a shoe specifically for 5k racing than the Vaporfly would be the most popular if you're good with something high off the ground, but it'd wear out very quickly if you do workouts in it. Just for reference, I'm 6' 4'' and 170 pounds.
Same height and weight. My favorite workout shoe is the Altra Escalante Racer. Light and responsive. Have too many issues with my right foot (peroneal tendon, Achilles’ tendon) in shoes with much of a drop. Used to really dig the NB Rebels but my right foot can’t stand them anymore. The Escalante Racers are keeping me healthy.
