I just moved to a very rural area from an urban area where I had plenty of paths and light to run at any hour, well away from traffic.
Now I live in a rural area with only back roads (some dirt, some paved). These roads are not that well traveled and people are nice.
Since I work, I'll be having to do my runs during the work week at night. In the urban area, I never worried about running at night because I ran where there were no cars.
So I'm looking for advice on being safe running at night in a country setting. Any strategies that work well?
