I've been curious about this for awhile. Henrik is only 30 and Filip is only 28.
Henrik was never much of a force on the world stage, but won a number of European Ch. medals, was 5th in the 1500 at the London Olympics and 8th in Beijing in 2013, but kept getting bounced in the heats until getting to the 5000 final in Doha, where he ran terribly. He's a 3:31/7:36/13:15 guy but didn't run in Tokyo. His 1500 PR was from when he was 23.
Filip is a 3:30/13:11 guy and won a bronze at the London WCs. He didn't even make the semis in the 1500 in Tokyo or the semis in the European Indoors, and barely made it out of the heats in Doha and then got bounced in the semis in the 1500 there. He dropped out of the 5000 final.
What's up with them? Should we anticipate Jakob peaking early as well?
