I live in very windy conditions. So, I can not always hit precise intervals workouts outside. For the whole COVID pandemic I was training outside. For the last month, I started doing my speedwork on treadmill to hit precise paces. I am still training outside.
Yesterday, I did 12 x 500m (.30 mile) at 4:40 pace with 2mins rest on treadmill (@1% incline) followed by a 2 mile cool down. I was feeling alright afterwards. I could do another 3 - 4 intervals.
Do you have experience to tell me what should that translate to goal race day?
I have an important race coming up with no other race leading to it.
