I thought this dude trying to do Ironmans was the height of stupidity, then he takes this on.
His whole schtick is to sell the supplement he markets, I believe, but I agree he's on a bit stronger stuff. He might be 'roiding more than Ryan, actually.

Hopefully they drug test him at the ultra
He will be out at Winfield or Twin Lakes the latest.

I can't think of a less interesting and more useless youtube video i've watched in the last year - and I only watched a couple minutes of it for lulz. That could have been 1/4 of the length.

You haven't seen this one yet. Nick has enough stuff to outfit a whole Everest Expedition.

They do not drug test at Leadville.
What a massive waste of time. Doper, doper, doper. Is it even a running forum? Geez... You should know better. Walking pharma. Back to bodybuilding tacky youtube zone you go.
Can't wait until Nick get his ass kicked tomorrow.
Race starts at 4am MT.
Probably a good three hours later he will wish he never signed up for this.
He will be toast in Twin Lakes but Nick will soldier on to Hope pass where all hopes get crushed.
bro, he's on A LOT of peds. he'll be fine.
he spends more on supps/peds/equipment/recovery tools than most people make in a year. if he doesnt finish it would be embarrassing for him. i think his training block has been questionable (two 100 miles weeks on flat austin terrain with 40-50 mile weeks surrounding it), but if his goal is to finish under 30 hours then he certainly can. it wont be pretty, but even for the elites it hardly is.
How did he get so out of shape in 2 weeks? I would have thought one of his goals would be to shed 20-30lbs for the race knowing that mass is just dead weight. I expect him to do A LOT of walking. No way he runs a single climb. With so many eyes on him he’ll walk to finish under 40hrs.
His gains are his livelihood. He's not going to shed them for an ultra-marathon.
he's a youtuber/ influencer, not a professional ultra runner.

If you're SO HIGH on drugs, your stamina might drop immediately if something in the protocol changes. It's all about dosing and timing.
no idea how much he weighs these days, but pretty sure he is down like 30-50 lbs from when he started marathon training a few years ago. also, his body fat % is like 7-8% (probably lower than 99% of people in the field) so its not like hes carrying around useless weight.
lets be honest most ultrarunners are skinny fat.
Surely he would have cycled in some EPO like Hunter McIntyre
Well, Bare definitely doesn’t look good. I applaud him for lining up but he needed to lose more weight and get under 5% body fat. I think he misjudged this .
Is he going to start the race off with a deadlift?
300 lbs every mile. Logistically challenging but Nick's guys got it handled.
