Nijel Amos IN THE FINAL

What about Jewett?

Jewett was responsible for falling so of course he shouldn't be allowed in the final.

Based on the quote in the LRC article it sounded like Jewett thought he was tripped.

Front page article doesn't give the impression that Jewett was at fault

Struggling to find clear replay footage but it doesn't look like there is much in the way of contact- people were bunched up with 150 to go, Jewett loses his composure and falls in front of Amos, taking them both down. Curious what was said/shown in the live broadcast but I'm not convinced that it was really Amos that caused this

We haven't updated the article with quotes from Amos. Even Amos told me he didn't think an appeal would be successful.

Before tonight I had published an article about what a joke the rules in our sport are and how there is no transparency from World Athletics. We need to know why he was put in the final. I love Amos and want him to win gold but it appears to me he took a guy out from behind and is now in the final. Yet Niyonsaba grazed a curb and isn't in the final?

There are much better and closer angles than that one. You can't tell anything from that video.

Sure, I understand he's blaming Amos. Doesn't look to me like Amos made any push into Jewetts space, field is crowded and unfortunately there was contact. Hard to look at this and think that Amos is the blame.

It doesn’t look like Amos touched Jewett at all prior to Jewett going down. If you slow it down it looks like Jewett tripped over nothing lol.

Did Amos say he tripped him or not? Yes or no?

I only watched it live with the replay, but it looked like Amos clipped him. I’ll have to watch it again.
