From the results, Werkwuha Getachew did not appear to run in the heats. She was the world leader before Mu's Olympic trials, and her result a month ago was an Ethiopian record in the event.
If she turns out to be intersex, there is too clear of a pattern with the 800m. There must be something about the 800m that gives intersex athletes more of an advantage compared to other track events. So what is it about the 800m?
400m and under requires pure sprinting ability and any race above a mile requires predominantly aerobic efficiency. The 800 is right in between and thus appeals to intersex athletes.

The first part about what you said is all true, but why does that explain anything about why intersex athletes would be good. Why would they be good at this in-between distance? Is it that it requires both of these skills, and testosterone is beneficial for both of these skills, so you get a double whammy with the extra testosterone?

Where is the average young athletic male most likely to beat women? In the middle distances.
I found this thread after looking at last year's women's 800m world rankings and noticing that Getachew, a 26 year old 1:56.67 athlete from Ethiopia with no history in the event prior to 2021, did not compete at the 2021 Olympics.
This odd Independent article, written on the day of the women's 800m heats at Tokyo 2021, claims that Getachew

Note that the Ethiopian athlete in the article photo is not Getachew, and having also watched the women's 3000SC at Pre I think that comedyreIief is correct and therefore Getachew is competing in the 3000SC due to it being the shortest event above the DSD ban on women's 400m to Mile.
Getachew finished first in the women's 3000SC at the Ethiopian Championships in March, and first at the African Championships in June.
I don't know if Ethiopia have named their team for Eugene 2022, but if entered I believe Getachew would be the first DSD entrant in the women's 3000SC at a major world competition (unless I'm forgetting someone).

World Athletics really needs to expand the DSD rules to all events.

Women have the instinct to run away, but they don't have the instinct to kill required to run a good 800. An 800 champ must be a cold blooded, stone hearted assassin, axe-wielding berserk.
