Going with about 80 %
Going with about 80 %
DK Metcalf ran what was it 10.3 on almost no track training. Imma go with 5%. Maybe a few punters and other slow people.

The more interesting question is what % would be smoked by Stahl? He looked quick in his post medal celebration!
And he's a wide receiver? I would be very surprised if even one punter could run 10.6. No linemen would beat her and very unlikely any linebackers would. That's half of the players in the NFL right there. No chance 95% of NFL players could run faster than 10.61...
Not a single defensive lineman, offensive lineman, or punter could beat her. A few people at other positions could. Of the 1700 people on NFL rosters, I’d guess probably less than 200 would beat her.

Correct, and it’s unlikely any Kickers, Long Snappers or Fullbacks. So youre down to QBs (perhaps a few), WRs/CBS (solid group could), Safeties (not many), LBs/TEs (not many) and RBs (more than LBs/TEs but fewer than WRs/CBs). And this it with speed training a la DK.
If you’re talking 53-man roster, I’d guess 2 WRs, 3 CBs/DBs and their fastest RB. So 6 per team with a super fast team like the Chiefs maybe having 8 guys. So yeah 200 works for me.

lol gtfo. he's one of the fastest players in the league and runs people down for a living (not on a track, but still).
I'd wager that half of NFL players couldn't run sub-11 without track specific training. Basically, anyone who's a tight end or larger. 10.6 without track experience is very difficult, even for pro athletes.
Well I'm sure Tyreek Hill and DK Metcalf could amongst others.

In the current shape they are in or their genetic potential? In the current shape you are talking about 30 or so, in terms of genetic potential then all running backs less a few fullback body types. You would have all of the speed receivers and all of the corner backs.
Aside from that it would be nobody.
I am positive Tom Brady couldn't.

and he did that because he is one of the fastest players in the league
it's more likely she would only lose to 5%
She would run a low 4.4 40. There are a handful of players every year that enter the league that can run that.
She would probably be in the top 100 current fastest NFL players… but closer to #100 than #1. She’d probably be among the fastest 4-5 people on any given roster.

Way way way more than half of NFL players can’t run a 11.00 FAT 100m. That’s much faster than most people realize. Most tight ends you see wouldn’t even touch 11.40.

Do you really think a punter with the following hurdle times couldn't run 10.6 in the 100m?
55m: 7.50
110m: 13.81
400m: 49.77
FWIW, a 13.81 110h scores more IAAF points than 10.32 in the 100m and is vastly superior to 10.61.
Or a linebacker who's run a 4.38 40 couldn't? Obviously the linemen are not going to be running those times, but a lot of the WRs, RBs, safeties/CBs could throw on track spikes and hit 10.61. There are a handful of guys in other positions who could as well.
Not quite pros, but my high school sent many track athlete football players to D1 schools at skill positions. None were running 10,6 even hand-timed
Well if you give her a normal wind like 1.0 she's running around 10.5. I'd say 10-20 out of 1700 players could run that so over 98%

I'm not 100% certain a 13.81 hurdler can run 10.61 into headwind.
But a 4.38 linebacker definitely can't a combine 4.38 is worth 4.51 FAT and 10.9 and 10.8 female sprinters are doing that. You also have to consider that you can have great acceleration at a linebackers weight but their top end would be crap.
How long would she be ambulatory in an NFL game?
Dude seriously who effin cares???? Those NFL players are training to be football players not sprinters so the question is moot.

Holy smokes, LRC is often delusional about how fast people are, but this is absolutely embarrassing. Paris2024 and PlayerONE are the only ones anywhere close to an accurate prediction. 10.6 FAT? GFTFO if you think hundreds of NFL players can do that. I'll go with 20, with 40-50 being the absolute most. Hill, DK, and Lamar are the obvious ones, and they are absolute beasts, outliers. And I'll say 5-6 more receivers, 7-8 more safeties/corners, and then 3-5 randos that I am forgetting (maybe a RB or some other freak of an athlete). Zero OL, DL, LBs, TEs, FBs, P, K are running 10.6, and tons of fast WRs and safeties don't have the speed to sustain a 100m race.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
