Remember when they debated whether Grant or Drew Hunter had the better training situation?
What a run by Grant.

Fantastic run. Roughly 14:01/13:47 and stuck with the group the entire way when others dropped off. Very impressed, well deserved 5th.
Beating Kejelcha, Kipruto, Ahmed, Kwemoi!!!!!
Amazing performance for Grant. 5th against a sea of guys who have run well under 27, Kejelcha nowhere to be found and he outkicked Mo Ahmed who has PBs of 12:47 and 26:59. Ran within about 40 seconds of his PB in 81F and 89% humidity.
Amazing performance by Fisher!
Fantastic run. Very smart runner. I appreciate that he always looks like he's smiling when he's running.

4:04.1 final 1600m for Fisher.
Brilliant running by Grant.
Amazing composure in a wild last kilometer.

I wonder if the hot/humid conditions are not a bit of a leveller. Nobody likes this and the sub 27 runners don't want to frontrun. Sure the top three were among the top favorites but a dozen was still in contention with two laps to go.
Hell yeah Grant

I know this is funny trolling but to put Grant in a sentence with “outkicked by East African greats” is actually quite amazing. He was in it with 250 to go. Can’t ask for much more than that.
The conditions are but that doesn’t take away how far up in that second group Grant finished. It’s a great run.
You don't know the medal's of the 2021 Olympics? I believe he gets the Led medal I wouldn't do the whole put the medal in your mouth trick if I was him.
1. Gold
2. Silver
3. Bronze
4. Wood
5. Led
Meanwhile, folks starting threads on the LRC forums are still so obtuse that they leaves clues to results in the thread titles…
didn't realize he beat kejelcha but race was super slow.
Good result for him. As good as he could do but he didn't contend like Ahmed tried to do.
