So much for saving something for the triple. That was fun.

Stupid move. She should save as much energy as possible
Eh, she was kicking down off what, her half marathon pace?
When else have we seen doped runners dominating heats without concern for "saving energy?" We've seen it before. The PED hubris is real. Hassan may be the biggest farce of the Olympics.
winners never lose
She forgot it was a heat. Felt like a Diamond League race, all these others trying so hard, she had to turn it up a bit to keep them behind her.
Well the No Spoilers in the Thread Titles didn't last long.
She also looked to have extended herself more than Tirop in that race.

LOL...what, who made that stupid rule?
this is a board to dicus results, stay off if you don't want to know results.
Seriously. if you intend to come here and watch the games later, unspoiled, I don't know what to tell yuh.
That's like her doing a stride at the end of an easy run. She's the greatest distance runner alive. You've got no room to think she doesn't know what she's doing.

She can't help but race every time she's on the track. I hope it doesn't cost her through the rounds.
I am sure Sifan Hassan is on a bit of a winning streak. Every win is one more victory.
Hassan needs all the good vibes she can get because Tsegay is going to give her everything she can handle in the final. So, I'm all for boosting the confidency by going clear
I’m not sure about that. For all the complaints about runners achieving super impressive marks and not even looking tired at the end, she looked like she was worn out from that effort. Kept rubbing the right hip/upper thigh as well. The triple is going to be a hell of a challenge.

She might also, have pulled her hamstring. She was holding her thigh in discomfort.
Hope she is healthy 🙏🙏

She was soundly beaten in the DL a few weeks ago.
+1 -- She's also older than I thought (28) so I hope she can pull off this triple simply as a legacy-cementing act. If it goes poorly, she could more reasonably execute the 5/10 double in 2024.

She ran that heat perfectly- sat in the back and then moved up with 2 laps to go, That’s her go to strategy.
You know who else would show up to the Olympics and dominate heats?
RASHID RAMZI (banned doped stripped of olympic medal)
Now he didn't even have to run 3 events to prove his point! You've gotta be kidding me Sifan Hassan and I don't mean in a good way.
