WTF is wrong with the USA steeplechasers????

Ferlic ran 8:20. That's pretty good for him, not far off of his PB. Keter just ran 8:17. Again, that's decent. Not bad by any means.

It's the lack of heart. Ferlic never put himself in the race. Keter blew his shot by spotting the leaders a 20m lead in the first lap. Then Keter JOGGED the last 50 meters when he KNEW there are time qualifying spots. He's currently holding the last time qualifying spot but surely will get knocked out from the last section.

Hopefully Hillary can show them how it's done!

Wow Bor was even more STUPID. He should be able to run 8:17 in his sleep but he was a COWARD and goes home devastated. Keter gets lucky the 3rd section was a bunch of chickens.

Guts? If you're worried about guts use your real name to post on this board. If they're gutless, why aren't you in Tokyo right now competing? Talking crap about Olympians anonymously on a message board would also qualify as gutless. Guess what, everyone at the Olympics is extremely good! 21 guys were under 8:21....that's a quality field.

BTW- Keter made it to the next round.

You’re throwing the c-word around a little too loosely.

Ferlic was the disappointing one to me... I don't care about this "he was close to his PB"... no he wasn't and he should be peaking at the Olympics like that Japanese kid going from 8:15 to 8:09. That's how you do it, and he ran on pride. Ferlic had no pride or Warhurst is simply over-rated.

They were just outlcassed. Bor was the only one I'd have expected to make the finals with the times run today. Yet he was in heat 3 and knew what time he needed to run yet let it go slow. It sucks but I don't have a lot of sympathy. He had the easiest way to get into the final.

Update: Wait Keter not only PRd but he made the final. Great run for him. A bit disappointing for Bor, Ferlic did fine for him.
