Agreed, I hate the stripes. The USA tops remind me of Ernie from Sesame Street. The women's bun huggers look like underwear to me with the wide bands around the waist and legs, just like the horrible New Balance uniforms from a few years ago.
It doesn't look as bad with a solid-coloured bottom.
I actually really like the alternate top that Rogers is wearing in the photo you posted. Those look great IMO.
My biggest problem is that the USA kit doesn't look "American." The colors are too saturated and don't fit the US palette.
Agreed that the bottoms look a little too much like underwear.

I just looked closer and you're right, it looks like there's two tops -- hers is like Germany's in the first photo, with the angled stripes. That does look way better!
US and Kenya kits look great. Random Euros, not so much.
Not keen on the stripes. I couldn't really tell you which country it's meant to be, looking at it. I like the Ethiopian kit the best, then GB in those photos.
I like them. And I don't mind the bottoms looking like underwear.
S-E-X-Y!
Are there two separate sets of track uniforms for the US women?
The Ethiopian singlet looks almost the same as their previous model (2016-2020). Same for the GB model. No complaints though.

Yes, they have a choice between two, and I think they can mix/match so it may appear there are more than two.
I don't hate the one on Rogers - as others have said - but it doesn't scream USA. The men have one that is downright burgundy. Kind of odd for the USA, but it doesn't look terrible on the athletes.
Germany's, on the other hand, is atrocious. A lot of it has to do with the fact that most Germans are going to have a fair complexion, and the beige/gold look is not good for fair skin. They all look sick.

As someone who looks very much like her German parent, can confirm this 100% true for me. Any sort of warm color makes me look awful (yellows, oranges, bold greens, reds, etc.). Granted, Germany's flag colors are already hard to work with, but no reason they can't take the same approach as they do with their soccer kits and use black/white.
shouldn't have to squint to read which country is on the singlet.
I have been overly frustrated with Nike/Team USA singlets for the last decade or so. Nike started putting out their "International Templates" that are all basically the same design, with the country's colors changed out.
This year is slightly better, in that 1: Team USA members had a choice between several designs and variations. and 2: between countries there are slight variations in designs. (2016 Olympics, 2017 Worlds and 2019 Worlds had almost no variations between countries apart from color schemes for Nike Singlets)
The USATF needs to come to Nike and come to an agreement where we have a completely unique design, apart from any other country, a la 1996 Olympics (Classic Banger Singlets).
All of that being said, the Team USA Mixed Relay (RIP) Singlets debuted this morning were pretty fire.
Hats off to Team GB and Adidas. I mean their singlets are ugly as hell, but at least no one is going to copy them.
The green New Balance stuff with the white band on the shorts ... those don't fit ANY of the gals I saw in the 800s.
Not that I mind, but really.

Mu's looks fantastic. It actually looks distinct compared to the rest of the field.
They have definitely gone overboard on the stripes this year.
Uganda used to be my favorite kit:

https://i.ibb.co/vYrH1Fw/E7iw94a-XEAY6-Zdx.jpgIf I had it my way Uganda would race in solid yellow shorts. Black singlet with red and yellow on the shoulders, "Uganda" written in yellow, and the flag just as it is.

I agree. All of the Nike uniforms are horrible.

Why shouldn't they? Women race in underwear, that's the norm. "Bun huggers" is just fancy speak for panties. Russian language, for instance, doesn't make that distinction.
I did not think the US Code flag code violation that is the USA swimming uniforms could be outdone, but these T&F unis are pretty bad. I could not identify the US team in the mixed 4x400 relay until the 2nd leg.

I think the stripes give them a simple design that is fun and playful, even if they do look like pajamas or underwear.
