What percent of DI runners run faster than 9:30 for 3200 in high school?

90% of P5 and 50% of all others. 2/3 total

milesplit has a feature where you can check this. it’s 47%

I did back in 1995. Most of my team mates did as well, but I was also recruited into a top 5 NCAA XC D1 team. Not sure about the other schools. And BTW, I was an 800-1,500 guy in HS. 9:30 is pretty weak standard for 3,200 if you are college bound in my opinion.

I ran a 9:28 2-mile in HS and made the team that traveled to Albuquerque for the conference meet, where I was lapped multiple times in the 10000 by U.TE.P. Kenyans.

I go to a p5 school and run cross. I think I ran the 3200 all of three times in high school. Never broke 10, let alone 9:30 in a 3200

High school times and pro times didn’t really get too crazy this year. Only college popped up

I know plenty of guys that got the new spikes and ran close to their last year seasons best, hell I did for a few races too

Except it us really 2/3 because Milesplit doesn't track foreigners. It would be much higher if it also tracked equivalent 1600 or XC 5k times because many great XC runners never run a 3200.
