Easily one of the worst TV characters of all time..
rejects Jim, gets jealous when he’s with someone else, causes a scene, doesn’t let him follow his dream and leave Scranton, she held Roy back from glowing up, she is just the b**** of the office

Valid. Never thought of it like that
That's a little harsh, Jim pursued Pam knowing she was dating Roy. Pam refused to cheat on Roy no matter that she knew the relationship was on the rocks. When Jim finally professed his love, she politely told him she couldn't, nothing wrong with that. She finally ended the relationship, but Jim had moved on. In fact you could say Jim was kind of a louse because he basically used Karen only to dump her and hook up with Pam once she was free.
As far as who held whom back, remember Roy always discouraged Pam from her art career and Pam did eventually give up her dream to be with Jim. Now, I kind of stopped watching after Michael Scott left but assuming Jim didn't do his business deal because it was in another state it's kind of a push: Pam gave up her career dreams for Jim and Jim did likewise. The whole point was career success was secondary to their relationship as it should be.
Some valid points being made.
Still, take the whole “office administrator” position for example. She couldn’t be a successful salesman, so she lied and scammed the company into a job that wasn’t hers. She’s just selfish, puts her nose where it doesn’t belong and causes the downfall of a lot of things.
Both Jim and Pam suck. They’re not funny...only when they’re being mean and making fun of their peers. They act above everyone else. TheIt negativity is the reason why Parks and Rec is a better show.
I prefer Sean Hannity.
At some point everyone in the whole show would exhibit a dark side of themselves, Pam did too, but not as often as many of them. And it does happen in an office environment where you're in close quarters with people every day.
It's just nice to take a break from running, drug, politics, arguments on here and discuss something else.

Jim kind of turned me off after a while. He was a wise-ass, kind of a butt smoocher, played jokes on people but didn't like them played on him and his good-bye to Michael was kind of disingenuous when you remember the times he would make fun of Michael.
Ben & Leslie >>>> Jim & Pam
I think the show is made because of Michael and Dwight. The more you watch, the more tiresome Jim and Pam become, and you realize most of the side characters are just unnecessary. The show itself will always remain rewatchable, right?
Show was terrible, but she was at least cute.
Screw you, Roy.
Pam is the precursor to modern day Karen.

Agreed, I've only watched the Office once (up to the point Michael Scott left), and I was annoyed by Jim and Pam after the first few episodes. The show wants us to laugh at Jim's pranks, but he's kind of a smarmy dbag if you think about it.
American TV has to overdo everything. The Office (U.K.) character equivalents, Dawn and Tim, were a lot more realistic.
Thoughts on Toby being the Scranton Strangler…?

He strangled his peen.
Super boring and stereotypical relationship.
The only girl nearby he sees. afraid of anything not local. awful art. no substance whatsoever besides responding to people doing things.

Disagree. Liked the US version more because it's more realistic. The UK version was too over-the-top, although I don't really remember much about Dawn and Tim. I guess it's mostly that Michael Scott seemed more like a real person than David Brent and, probably because I'm American, the US version seemed more like a real office.
The US version got way too ridiculous later on, but I was out by then.
I liked Jim and Pam because they seemed like real people, with faults and hypocrisy like all of us.
But the show was over when they got together.
Of course the show doesn't have to be realistic. It's a silly fictional TV show. My real office is realistic, but it's not that interesting.
