Any insight into the new Stanford Program? They are running well as a group. Gotcher and Pierce look to have stepped up to another level, as has Vidal. Heath with a solid run, and Nef a little behind where I would expect him, but he should be ready for Nationals like last year.
I thought the key to Suzy's success late in her career was higher mileage which Tegen encouraged her to do.
low mileage = no junk mileage
mostly good quality.

I heard from a reliable source that they don't even go to practice anymore. Honestly...they have optional workouts and you come when you want/feel good. I also heard they implement some sort of running with dumbbells for short distances ie. 50m...I don't know anymore than that.
Lots of fartlek type activities...they do workouts called "dyno runs" which are basically tempo runs with pickups, designed to keep you from getting "pace-locked." Also runs like figure 8s on the infield of a track, where you jog the turns and sprint the straight across section. Can't say much more than that, those are just two things I've picked up and used in my own training.
