Please change the title:
Kenyan miscounts steeple laps, kicks a lap early and still beats Coburn.
She was tiring badly and I am not sure she could have beaten Kiyeng.
I thought she would have run 9:01-9:02
That sucks.
She still has Tokyo.
I feel bad for Emma, I think should could have gone sub 9 or maybe pushed Kyeng to a sub 9, if she didn’t fall down.
Just hurt my vocal chords screaming at the TV when she fell.
sucks but it happens. also i don't think she would've gotten sub-9 even if she hadn't fallen cause Kiyeng was at 9:03.
Splish splash she was taking a bath

She tripped on the barrier because she was spent, couldn't get her foot up high enough to push off. She was not going to run sub 9 and she wasn't even going to win. I like Emma, but that wasn't a great race.
She should have passed her earlier, so unfortunate the leader was toast.
Um, I was first with this headline. Copy cat.
When someone is chasing a record (national record, personal record, etc.), they operate on a razors edge. She pushed herself to the limit and came up short. Jager did the same thing. I appreciate the effort and putting herself out there. You only lose when you don't try. Hats off to her effort.

Rojo beat you to it by 3 minutes, unless he changed the title after the fact.

Wow, tough assessment. I mean, if she made it over (which she probably would most of the time in a similar situation) she probably would have PR'd, possibly won an important race, but you make it sound like she's an abject failure.
Emma = first clean finisher
No. I beat him by 2 minutes.

It is worth noting that Chepkoech is like 20 seconds off her record pace.
