Can someone tell me why Girma hasn't raced at all outdoors until now? Why didn't he do the Ethiopian Trials? If he's in 8:07 shape right now, why didn't he do the Trials?
How can you be in this type of form right now but not even in form enough to try the steeple at the Trials last month? What was the date of the Trials? Anyone?

Getnet Wale was in the 5000m, but Lemecha Girma was not competing at all I think.

Biggest joke of the year has a deeper field than the men’s trial 100m, with all the bans and now this. I was mortified watching it. Then just angry at the idiot who rang the bell early.

Track is indeed a marginal, poorly run sport. Throw in PED's and it looks like a clown show.
with all the technology, pacing lights, etc, why do they rely on the human factor to count laps and ring a bell. What a joke!!! I feel for Kigen. I would be so pissed off. World Athletics need to talk to NASCAR and figure this out!!!
