Didn’t shut me up, I was saying all along that he would be on the team! His earlier 200m win over Bednarek and how he closed one of his recent 100’s (prelim or semi) were the clues. I think he was still a bit tight, though. He has 19.6 in him, if he cares.

In the post-race interview Lyles said he had been working on the turn...80m...120m... I suspect that they were focused on 80-120m, judging by how he was picking up in the finish of that 100. Kerley also was excellent in that phase.

He also said he just tried to relax. Good! He was really tight in his earlier races.

Great to see that he figured things out, and corrected them. With a bit more conditioning, he has to be the favorite for OG gold.
