It is almost guaranteed that the delay of this evening’s 1500m will impact who makes the team. Expect a surprise due to the delay. My gut feeling is Cole Hocker will not make the team due to the delay. If my gut is wrong about Hocker, still expect a surprise. Look for Centro to still be on the team.
I think the cooler temps from the delay will lead some to chase the standard and make it a faster race. I expected a race in the 3:4x range now I expect a 3:3x race.

I think a delay would affect a runner less familiar with the facility and not know the best way to kill time there.
2 runners need close to 3:40, and like half the field needs 3:35.
I'm sure they run fast enough for 3:40 at worst.

Really? When I see Hocker, I see someone who is viciously determined to make a statement in Athletics despite his young age. I don't think he will be rattled by this.
I am planning on moving a box of books from one side of the room to the other during the race, slightly changing gravity's effect on the runners.

Agreed. My concern is the legs after a long season like Teare. I hope Hocker makes it. Great experience for the next 3 years. I dont see how anyone beats Centro though unless the race just goes all out which it wont.

Cole Hocker's body can handle a hard race at 9:40pm. Perks of being young. In fact, I bet he's done a workout at midnight at Hayward.
Centro's body probably starts shutting down at 9pm. He's going to be loaded with caffeine for sure.
