Pushed them all the way out to lane 4... blatantly obvious.

100% agreed. Intentionally impeding other runners for no other reason than to make them run further.
What a cheat.
I would think there will be a formal protest
This is legal. Did you see Woody Kincaid push Connor Mantz and impede him? You want to talk about impeding runners.
Agree, he was also being weird earlier in the race putting his finger in Kincaid's face
He was being an ass during the race. Pointing fingers and theratening two other runners.
FIRST TIME I have seen that action NOT result in a DQ.
The interview with all three athletes addressed the move and Fisher said it was the right move and Woody did not disagree. I will be very surprised if they file a protest.

The guy he impeded is going to the Olympics anyway and probably wouldn't have any interest in filing a protest. The guy who would benefit from a Chelimo DQ (the fourth place finisher) doesn't really have grounds to protest because he isn't the one who was impeded.
DQ would have been warranted, but I don't really see a successful protest here.
The Cooper camp will make that argument. He's definitely guilty. He's also a defending silver medalist; he won't be removed.
Cheap move. Chelimo has always been a dick.
What are they going to do?? Say he should be DQed on live TV in front of Chelimo.
Cooper wasn't impeded. Kincaid and Fisher both said it was smart racing (whether that's cope or not, idk) so they likely won't file a protest. Cooper doesn't have reason to protest.

What rule would warrant a DQ?

Yes. They did it during the 2016 Olympics
How about $ for winning as a reason for GF & WK to protest? Don't all of them have contract incentives for winning national championship races?

It's the Olympic trials. Whatever is said in front of the cameras, there will be protests.

Don’t you want our roughest and toughest racing in Tokyo? You want Chelimo out? Looked like a pro move to me. We are not selecting the three nicest racers, but the three best. Fisher, however, seems like both.
Its one thing to drift a bit.. But he was looking at them and then moving into their path.. A BS move.
Obviously intentional and he admitted as much afterwards.
