Does 10 weeks give you enough time to work on specific workouts for a goal indoor 3k~1500M after racing a HM?

Will probably race a 5k and 8K in between does 10 weeks give you time to commit solely to 3K development? Is it possible the HM will actually benefit the 3K as the mileage from Summer to January will be higher than it will be in those last 10 weeks before the 3K or should I pick an earlier HM to get more weeks for 3K training.
