NEW WORLD RECORD
of course nbc cuts to commercial and doesn't broadcast the celebration. OH MY GOD WHAT AN ANIMAL
AMAZING
Almost out of the ring... crowd went nuts as soon as it landed.
unreal. I feel like I felt the shot hit the ground from 3k miles away
That throw was unreal.
I had no idea how much he broke it by because they gave it in feet and inches on the broadcast. I had no how much over 23.12m the throw was.
Good to replace Barnes.
I can only imagine what that took out of him - his 5th put was amazing compared to most but pales in comparison to his 4th. let's see if he's got anything in store for his 6th!!!!!

One?
He had a couple and then some.
25cm (10") improvement on the current world record.
Folks, Crouser has to pass a post-comp drug test. Hopefully, no problems, but it ain't a done deal until it is.
Crouser threw 23m earlier this year. Surprised he broke it by that much, but a WR throw was definitely coming.
blackpage

I liked the TV commentary: "He knew it before it hit the ground."
best performance in a while
Let's not get too carried away until we hear from Matt London. He may not actually be athletic...
Speaking of which, Hardee was there, legendary athlete, and huge hotness factor in his pink shirt.
What do you think Matt?
As a throws guy, I can tell you one thing, having trey in the booth to commentate on the throws was great today. He actually gets it. Understands the events much better than what we usually get. He talked about the throws intelligently and did so in a way that the casual track fans or non track people that may have been watching could also understand. Nicely done Trey Hardee.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
