I was just wondering if anyone had a estimation of what I should expect from my summer training. I am a 15yr old male and have been running close to 9 months now. I feel I was super undertrained in my seasons so far so I’m going to work hard this summer. These are a some of my results from my past races I ran.
5k: 18:57(last year)
3200: 11:20
1600: 4:57
I did all of this averaging around 15 miles a week and I felt I was pushing the point of overtraining because I was almost only doing speed work but I’m about 5 weeks into base building right now and I am planning to get in the 50’s with one long run and two days of speed work a week. I know my aerobic system was by far my weakest part of running so that’s why I’m running more mileage to really have a good endurance base. I was just wondering if anyone had tips or any time estimations or anything to help me I can get from doing this.
