I'm doing all-easy pace basebuilding right now. Here's an average week (avg 7:15 pace):
Sun - 10 mi @ 6:40 pace
Mon - 9 mi @ 7:15 pace w/ strides
Tue - 11 mi @ 7:20 pace w/ strides
Wed - double a: 10 mi @ 7:15 pace track: 10 mi @ 7:05 pace
Thu - 10 mi @ 7:30 pace
Fri - 10 mi @ 7:20 pace w/ strides
Sat - double a: easy effort 5k race in ~17:30 with warmup & cooldown for 20 miles total @ 7:15 avg pace--- evening: 10 mi @ 7:15 pace
I get a 1-1/2 hour lunchtime so I get most of my miles then. The rest, I load into Saturday in a double. My wife stays home so she takes care of most of the baby duties (my duty is to play with the kids) which leaves me plenty of time to train & sleep. I get lots of miles on the weekends with the double jogging stroller. My wife is back to running now so I'll probably be moving up into the 110s to 120s by adding some very slow (8:30s) miles with her in the evenings.
How's your Boston training going...taper time now? What are you shooting for, sub-2:40? What's on your slate afterwards?
