I'm not even a big Shelby fan but come on! She's obviously not micro-dosing on nandrolone in the offseason.

Don't be so gullible. If eating contaminated pork was a thing, then every meathead in the world would be eating at Mexican food trucks five meals a day.
" We have thus proved that eating tissues of non-castrated male pork (in which 17beta-nandrolone is present) might induce some false accusations of the abuse of nandrolone in antidoping."
It wasn't a trace amount. It was over 5 times what is normal from food consumption.
What’s even worse is that Jerry claims “he never heard of nandrolone”. Please... that’s ridiculous.

hell yeah, i'd start doing this now. where can i get a testing kit?
As a carry over fan from cycling, it's ludicrous how often cyclists blame 'tainted meat' only to fully admit later on that they were doping. Running fans are so eager to blow on cycling when running is just as dirty. Shelby cheated, as do probably all Nike athletes in some way, and tons of runners at large. People on these message boards are delusional.
Does anyone really think that it's a coincidence that all these people are running insanely fast times the season after out of competition tests were suspended in many areas? Cmon.

I would do this even if the barbacoa tacos wasn't getting me juiced to the tits.
A little research shows that in the US it is nearly impossible to commercially get "non-castrated male pork". It usually only comes from specialty game markets supplied by wild pig hunters (with a premium price).
Do you really believe she received, what essentially amounts to the death penalty, for inadvertently consuming trace amounts of nandrolone in a burrito?
Why is the penalty so harsh for a simple mistake?

They want scalps and don't care about due process

What part of the process are you alleging wasn't followed? The positive test came 7 months ago and only now is the process being completed. Enlighten us, please
She obviously couldn't produce evidence she consumed these exotic tacos/burritos the day before the test.

They should make athletes declare what they ate when they get tested. Would help eliminate this low hanging fruit of an excuse.

Why are you assuming there wasn't due process? And if they wanted scalps why did Ajee Wilson get off so lightly?

Based on
.2-.4.ng/mlpossible contamination in 8 oz of pork . If Shelby ate 24-30 Burritos for lunch, this would exceed the
5.ng/mlthat was the WADA positive.

It was pork, not scallops
I have an acquaintance who does competitive rifle shooting. By his report, they get the same drug testing that other Olympic athletes get, with the addition of testing for beta blockers. They pretty much eat whatever they please, strict diet is not a big thing for an athlete in the shooting sports. But to my knowledge, none of them has ever had a positive steroid test due to tainted meat. Just an observation. But interesting that the people getting busted due to steroids in contaminated meat all seem to be extremely lean and muscular individuals in the strength and endurance sports.
Pro sports is entertainment, not a courtroom. You don't ask the fans for "due process." If they boo, they're right, and it's no use complaining.
Because I understand this I'm not gonna join in the freakout, but for brief entertainment I'll say you should be renamed "Harddoper"
