Seriously fast!
Seriously fast!
She is certainly a candidate for the 4 x 4 team.
What is the process for an 800 runner to get on the team?

Make the 800m team and be chosen at the relay coach's discretion. That simple.
Its not a tough sell.
Anderson of UCLA split 49.9. Very nice.
what will you say when you see a 47x split?
sounds crazy, but it's maybe a season away.
Curious why people are not picking her shoes apart. She was wearing "super shoes."
I wish people would stop freaking out over relay splits. She ran 49.5 in the open 400, that should predict at least a 48.8 relay split especially with a rabbit part way.
Because the shoes haven't been proven effective at shorter distances, or even 1500m at fast paces
Yeah especially when it's commonplace for the conversion estimate from open to one of legs 2-4 to be around .7 difference anyway (some say as little as .5 or as much as .8).
That's pretty much the same performance.

Data for that?

Google Nike Air Zoom MaxFly.

Google Nike Air Zoom MaxFly.
And ask Sha'Carri and SAFP if they work.
I've heard of the max fly, they are said to boost some runners performance depending on morphology. Unlike the road shoes, and the distance spikes there are no studies that show if they are way more efficient than previous spikes, and by how much. If there are studies or data post them so I can see.
I wouldn't equate shelly performance to the shoes at all, becuase she's ran 10.7 low into a headwind twice, both of which where better than this 10.63. Also her mechanics have noticeably changed since she switch coaches, this has dramatically improved her 2nd half of the race.
Shacarri ran 10.75 as a college freshman so her running a 10.6 or 10.5 high won't be surprising.

I'm not a shoe conspiracy guy, just wondering why those who are (Rojo) are not freaking out about Mu, but they are about everyone else. They designed the MaxFly based on the Air Zoom Victory, obviously there will be some benefit. Some sprinters were actually wearing the Victorys, especially the 400 people.

There’s no “data” that they are effective at any distance yet.
nobody is freaking out about the sprint shoes because nike is not paying people to do so
we already know her open speed... wrote:

Her two performances were collegiate bests, run 80 minutes apart. Just puts an exclamation point on her greatness at this level.
