14 year old F currently running about 20 miles a week. My 3200 PR is 12:30. Is it realistic to think I can take one minute off this time in a year? Tysm!

YES!
Easily.
More running and just growing should take care of it.
Yes if you start training at some point
For a boy - no doubt about it, yes.
For a girl - it's possible but there are many more factors. Are you still growing? With increased distance and intensity, it's certainly an attainable goal. I've coached girls that never ran faster than they did at 14, and I've coached girls who've dropped several minutes off their 3200 from that age. You need to be committed.

I had a teammate (a guy) that improved from 11:59 to 10:34 from his frosh to sophomore year.
If you slow down by 5 seconds per lap, you will lose exactly one minute.
Here you go…
Train smartly and do the best you can.

This is about right. I've had girls go from 12:30 to 11:30, but it usually takes more than a year.
