No BS this time. She she was tying up bad, looked up at the screen, tried to move in front of the approaching runner at the last second and stuck her arm out.

Different rules for different organizations. Does the NCAA rule require contact?
I've always thought preventing a runner from passing you was good race strategy.
The problem with cutting over or sticking an arm out is that it slows you down even more.

They were only a couple steps from the finish for the 5th spot. She moved over, staggered, stuck her arm out, made contact and fell and got 5th.
However the FSU woman she interfered with got in on time anyhow as it turned out.
Spoke too soon, a protest has been filed but that may be from the second semi because there was a lot contact going on there and a Stanford runner ate track.

You've thought wrong
She led the race for a long time then faded really bad over the last 20 meters.

I mean I've always just ran straight to the finish anyway. Cutting over and blocking sounds cool in a NASCAR sense.....but the shortest distance is a straight line. There is a sweet spot there in lane 1 where you can make it hard for them to pass you on the inside without contact so they have to go around the outside. Really I was always too tired to think about such strategy lol.

Results are now official after the protest. She ain't get DQ.
Also, your description seems pretty exaggerated when looking at this clip from the end of the race:

Are you f'n blind? It happened exactly like I said. Nitwit.
Plus that video doesn't show how she looked up at the screen then moved into the runner from Lane 1. You work for Fox?

Ah, fun, a personal attack on an anonymous message board. It does seem like the race officials did not see it "exactly as you said," as no runner was DQed.
Have a nice day!

There was no DQ because the offended runner made it on time. And expect to be treated like a bunghole when you accuse someone.

Not sure what race you were watching but it sounds like you are just making things up. Nothing that you said happened.

"I've ran" is always incorrect.
Well 20+ years here and finally got called out by a grammar nazi!

It could have been a DQ but I'm glad it wasn't because I've been an Amaris fan since NCAA cross country. Besides, Skyring has Amaris to thank for the two time qualifiers coming from this race.
Amaris is a charming soul, but seems utterly unable to deal with having other runners in front of or around her. Hopefully her coach can help her work on running tactics.
