You are hearing it right here. I say Isaac Basten will be top 3. Drake is no joke probably 2 of the best coaches in the NCAA. I love the way these guys race. This kid will be the next NCAA record holder.

Basten will be bottom 3
Yes, good coach to get this kid there. His PR was only 3:43 2 weeks ago.
and he if wants a top 3 spot it gonna have be sub 3:34 in 2 days time
I do love Basten's ability to fight and finish, but I would be shocked to see him finish that high at nationals. His only shot is if it goes really slow and even then I don't love his chances. That being said Basten come up has been great to watch. The stuff about the coach is literally laughable. They have a fine coach, but he is too cocky for his accomplishments. He has 2 athletes doing well, Fogg and Basten, thats it. If you look through their rosters over the time he has been there, there is a lot of pissed away talent. The only thing he is consistently good at is getting relatively elite European and Australia athletes and getting them to not improve. Just a worse version of Tulsa in that sense, but Tulsa actually wins things.
I won't be shocked by Isaac taking second or third.
Our team is staying at the same hotel and I heard Isaac Basten ask the front desk if they had any nails. When asked what he needed them for, he said “breakfast” and didn’t flinch.
So much for Fogg being the big dog at school. It is unbelievable the improvement Basten has made this year. Hopefully Fogg will praise him on his YouTube videos. After Basten's 5K at league's, I did not expect his incredible performances at Regionals and Nationals
Fastest high schooler on team is Schweizer's brother who was a 1:50/4:04 guy.

Fogg went too deep at their conference championship. Winning the triple is the reason he's watching the NCAA final on TV. Basten's weak performance at conference is why he's still racing.

Who is the Drake coach right now? I know it was Mark Carrol but isn’t he head of BAA right now?
He is certainly has had a great season.
- Peaking at the right time
- Leaving it all on the track both at Nats semis and Regionals
-Good (not correction: very good) kick.
- I think he has benefited from ood coaching and training with fellow teammate and 1500/miler Adam Fogg
A top three may be a tad optimistic. Just being there and making the finals is a great achievement for him.
I look forward to watching him and Adam in 2022. Both have two years left. Neither has approached their full potential. I hope he runs aggressively and runs a the race of his life. He has nothing to lose.
Is he divorced? His wife is the coach at Iowa State.

DFL with a time of 3:46 ran quicker to get into the final than in the final
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
