Did you listen to the whole clip? He said he's concerned but it's not up to him and it's up to the Japanese authorities what they will do in their country. What's the issue?
I thought you ignored Fauci.

Japan death rates are probably low AF. They don't have an alarming obesity problem.
This is actually very true. If the United States was as fit as Japan COVID would have not been the all consuming news in the United States that we know it to be.

People are still listening to the little man with an inflated ego Fauci? You cant be serious.
Have you once gotten anything right here?
As for Japan, they just opened up mass vaccination sites, months after they should have, and will be vaccinating 7500 a day at sites in Tokyo and Osaka, to double in June and July, and other sites will open in other cities. But that's really not going to do all that much. Even 15k per day is only 450,000 a month, and that would add less than a million with at least one dose before the Olympics.

Japanese don't get sick from COVID.
Tell that to the 716K infections and 12K deaths.
Yeah, I think there is legitimate concern. Any athlete who goes there unvaccinated is not making the wisest decision IMHO.
Even Fauci admitted he could finally take off his mask once vaccinated. Any athlete we send will have had ample opportunity to get vaccinated. If they chose not to it's on them and since they are probably young and in health, they will be fine. Why are we even concerned about Japan's vaccination rate.

Leftist? He was hired by Ronald Reagan, who I beleive was a Republican from California. Every President since then, both Democrat and Republican, has kept him on.
