Here's how I would have each leg if these runners all qualify
1st Leg: Trayvon Bromell - Replaces Christian Coleman and would probably be our best starter and favorite to medal in the 100m.
2nd Leg: Justin Gatlin - Old faithful and has always ran well on the 2nd leg from every relay I've watched.
3rd Leg: Kenny Bednarek - I would have him replace Mike Rodgers. The way he blitzed Noah Lyles on the curve this past weekend at the the Golden Games gives me the impression he would fit well here.
Anchor Leg: Noah Lyles - Strong finisher and has been known to run down the field.
Other potential replacements: Ronnie Baker, Cravon Gillespie
I'll put Terrence Laird and Matthew Boling as wild cards. I'm curious to see how they run this weekend at the SEC Championships and if they can hold their peak up until the Olympic trials.
Like I stated earlier, that's if they all qualify. I know we ran 37.10 at the World's in 2019, but I'm not sure if that still stands with Coleman's whereabouts violation ban. Do you think they get close to 37 flat or would need Christian Coleman's monstrous start?
How would you guys go about it hypothetically and who would you put on your team?
Here's Kenny Bednarek running the curve from this past weekend.
