Hi, I am 27 yo, I run for 4 years now and ran my 6th marathon yesterday in 2h39min19sec (negative split).
I average 55 miles per week (90km/week), with a peak week of +-70mpw , without real speed workouts. I mostly just run by feel. Sometimes faster, but 85% of my miles are at 8min/mile (12km/k-h; 5min/km). I have a feeling if i just keep averaging 55 miles per week with enough variation i will run faster and faster over time. I'm hoping/wishing to run a 2h30 by September this year. What would be your advice? Up my miles? How many mpw? Maybe I should lose some weight (150Lb/68,5kg; 5.8ft/177cm)?
