Ran a dual meet yesterday and it made me question if I could break 2 if I trained enough/ if I’m ready and fit enough to break 425 in the 1600. First I ran the mile (my current pr is 429 and this is the first time running it in a month) we went out in 219 and closed in 212, finishing time was 432. Didn’t feel the best but felt good aerobically. Ran the 800 around 30-45 mins later and ran 204, really negatively split the race (came thru 400 in 65 and closed in 59), then came back a couple hours later and ran the first leg of the 4x400 and split a 54.
Other Prs:
3200: 953 (ran alone and won race by 30 sec)
5k: 16:19
Current mileage: Around 40mpw

What should I work on? Should I increase mileage? What can I run for a 1600 and an 800 in fair races?
