One that has affected me was - mis-timed my warmup.
The race started more than a half hour late or I started my warmup too soon.
I get cold again waiting for the race to start.
It’s hard to get out well if you don’t have a sweat and your heart rate is too low when the gun goes off.
Then you’re working hard early to keep pace and that catches up with when it’s time to kick.
