Hello letsrun, these last two weeks I have decided to ruin the Strava segment economy in my local area. I will continue doing so until I have all .5 or less segments at sub 4:00 pace or the GAP equivalent.
I will jog to a segment of .2-.5 miles, and run it as fast as possible. I will repeat this 2-3 times, and go home.
Currently I have sniped the following segments:
.38 0.5% downhill at 3:41 per mile pace
.24 0.8% uphill at 3:57 per mile pace
.20 flat at 3:38 per mile pace
.26 flat at 3:28 per mile pace (local HS track) ran this in 54 so Strava is inaccurate here.
.45 1.3% downhill at 3:56 per mile pace
None of the second place times on these segments are at sub 5:00 pace. Should I continue unfairly robbing hobby joggers of segment crown glory, or go back to doing my speed endurance/ lactic tolerance work on the track?
