I've dedicated most of my free time to running in the last few years, but with pretty mediocre PRs of 4:3x and 16:3x, I'm not nearly fast enough to be a recruited athlete in the schools I want to go to. I know just participating in a sport isn't going to be a major boost to my application, so I'm looking for extracurriculars that would be more meaningful in the eyes of the admissions officers. Besides being the captain of the XC/track teams, what running-related things can I do to demonstrate leadership/initiative/creativity, etc?
