Who you got?
Who you got?
Definitely Mu if it's from blocks, although Hocker would have a shot if it was more of a relay situation
Hocker closed a mile in a 23. He's taking this one

In 25 as per my knowledge. Where did you get the 23 from?
To be honest, I wouldn't be so sure if Hocker could beat Mu in 400m from the blocks.
Hocker by 10 seconds in the 800, 3 seconds in the 400, and 1 second in the 200.

Athing Mu has a 23.63 and 50.52 PBs over 200m and 400m.
Cole Hocker has a 50.76 PB over 400m.
I suppose this summer they both will be able to slightly dip under 50.
Hocker would clap mu. You kidding me?
There’s this YouTube video called something like “the reality of biology” that shows a mixed relay. Anchor Girl gets almost a 100m head start and still gets annihilated by everyone in the field.
Looking at Hockers closing speed along with his 1:46 800 I’d guess he would be 48 mid to high in the 400. I’m willing to bet he could standing start with mu in the blocks and still win.
Hocker would run 47 flat from standing start. That is 23.5-23.5. He would look he is jogging the first 200.

Centro closed a 1500 in 50.5 and still can’t run 47.
I’m taking Mu.
Hocker is a lot stronger though.

Cole’s not that fast.
His mile PR was 4:08 at that time. He dropped 18 seconds since which is 4.5 per 400.
Hocker would, Hocker could... But HAS Hocker ever? Maybe anyone here knows what he runs in practice?
As for now 1:46.60 would indicate 49 for Hocker as he is not speed but rather strength based runner. This is something Mu will be capable of this summer, as she already has run 50 indoors.
Now we know Hocker can close in flying 25, but could he run 23 from a start?

You have to realize literally anyone that has already run sub 4:00 pace for more than 1200m is going to be at least decently over the lactic/anaerobic threshold. I can run 22 high in the 200m and I will never touch 25 at the end of an honestly paced mile. I’m at the point where I can almost break 50 in the 400 and I would be shivering in my boots if I got put in a 400 against Hocker. I don’t get scared of racing 49 guys, I accept I’ll probably lose but not be embarrassed. I just get this gut feeling Hocker claps me in the 400.
Even a strength based guy is going to need sub 49 speed to run 1:46.
Also with the whole Centro closed in 50 thing. An Olympic caliber athlete will not even be anaerobic if the first 1100m is at slightly less than 4:30 pace. Might as well be a warmup for a 400m race which it was for them.
This is the dumbest sh!t ever Hocker would literally annihilate her.
Has Mu ever? Her PR is 23.63 which Hocker runs 10 times in practice.
What you saying would make sense for a 800m runner. I myself have run 24 and 52 so I kinda know what I'm talking about. Hocker is also a 7:46 3k and 13:30 5k guy, so I really doubt he is capable of a 23s 200m from a cold start. I think he is redlining at 24 low, because of his running form with a low gait and also because he can close both a mile and 3k in 25s, which shows that it doesn't make much difference for him how much he has run before the last lap. Strength based athletes can bust a near PR 200m in the last lap, but just are often not capable of running much faster from a cold start.

I say he can run 10 x 25 in practice.

Bro you tripping. 10 x 23 would be something Makhloufi could do in training, that's a 1:42 runner.
Did you know that Brazier ran 15:20 for XC in HS and was one of the very best guys in his state behind Grant Fisher? Imagine if you hadn't seen him run a 200 or 400. You would be making the same silly statements.
