I have to run the 1600 and the 800 next week and there are only like 2 events in-between i think the 4x2 and 100 hurdles. how should i go about racing both of them.

What does your coach say?
Just run both races to win - don't worry about time.

Imagine running a hard 1600 in practice and then a 20 minute rest and then an 800. You'll still be able to do the 800 nearly as fast as if fresh. Race the 1600 with everything you have (unless you're able to win and the you don't need a time to qualify for something) and then recover a bit and do whatever you can in the 800
you're gonna be a bit slow in the 800. that's a given. how do you anticipate your fitness stacking up against the competition from your own team as well as the others.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
