MAKE MARGINAL TAX RATES FOR RICH PEOPLE GREATER THAN 70% AGAIN, LIKE THEY WERE IN THE 1950s-1970s.
Spoken like a true.....Trumpster..........:-(
Wasn't Hawyard supposed to have the World Championships this year? How are they going to do that if the olympics are happening?
The word from Track Town is that to reduce capacity and out-of-state they’ll only allow in-state spectators.

Source please....
Pulled the trigger and decided to go to Eugene regardless ...
worst case - no better place to watch on TV at a bar!
I received a text to season ticket holders will be deferred to 2022 season as no fans for home track meets this year. No word on NCAA's championships yet guessing whatever happens there will be same for trials
BS. The governor will be deciding in less than two weeks.

Again, to be fair to free people in this country, the organizers of USATF & NCAA should move both meets to open states. Many would attend.

With all due respect, no one attends track meets, even during normal times, outside of Oregon .

Unless you are sitting there with me, you don't have much to contribute. Probably just another person that just comments from afar. Otherwise, get off your butt and fill a seat wherever it is. I have and will no matter where it is.
Tokyo is probably going to cancel anyway but I'd like to see a domestic move to do the right thing but this is the epicenter of the pandemic porn.
The reason we can’t go to stadiums is because some idiots won’t get the vaccine.
Every time you are limited in anything are restricted on doing blame the anti vaxers.
World Championships have been pushed back to 2021.
Looks to me like the odds are greatly improved for fan attendance with the CDC announcement today. Maybe a full stadium, maybe required proof of vaccination. Governor Brown just said "In the coming days, the Oregon Health Authority will be providing updated guidance", I will be following these updated guidelines closely. I would think in a week we should know what the attendance rules will be and have Hayward ticket policy firmed up. New Covid cases are finally dropping in Oregon. I hope I can get my original tickets back, I have not seen my ticket refund show up on my credit card statement.

It already is 2021.
It's illegal to coerce people into getting an experimental vaccine by restricting them from events otherwise open to the public.
It's also illegal for the venue to inquire about someone's medical history. HIPAA.
Thanks for catching my mistake. Would you believe the World Championships have been pushed back to 2022?
You make a good point about HIPAA laws. The question is if it is illegal to restrict folks that will not offer proof of vaccination? Similar examples are going on right now, I have not yet seen a legal challenge of these actions, you may know of a challenge, I would be very intrested if you have a link. Folks are allowed to avoid quarantine by showing proof of vaccination. The state of Washington is requiring 95% vaccination for small cruse ships to operate. The State of Washington is allowing segregated seating at ballgames by those that offer proof of vaccination, those that do not are pushed out into lower occupancy seating. The State of New York has a state sponsored vaccine passport that is being widely used within the state.
You might ultimately be proved correct. It is my selfish wish that you are wrong, I see the state of Oregon much more likely to approve a 100% occupancy at Hayward with a vaccine requirement, likely a 25% occupancy without it. If a few folks are enticed to get vaccinated by these restrictions we will be a bit closer to seeing the end of this dam virus.
Just got word from TrackTown USA. Looks like they will be filling the stadium. If you have tickets you are in. Your seat may move. They will be separating those that prove vaccination, and those that do not. Bulk of the tickets going to vaccinated.
"Athlete families will have the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets per session on the day(s) that their athlete is competing.
After existing ticket customers and athlete families have been accommodated, any remaining ticket inventory will be sold to the public."
"All plans for the 2020 Olympic Trials must be approved by the Oregon Health Authority and are therefore subject to change."
