Wall of honor - what times should be recognized?

Those times are a joke. Decent schools would have 100 guys at some of those marks. Top 10 list makes more sense and recognition of conference champ and state top 8.

That is a low standard. You will either need a lot of wall space or use a really small font to fit it on one wall at most schools.

Sounds like the everyone gets a trophy generation taking over some more.

I think this really depends on the school, but this would have broken my heart.

10:17

Just missed having my name up there four times.

What if you did tiers?

For the boys 1600 for instance:

5:20

5:00

4:40

4:20

More attainable goals for more of your runners methinks.

those are state qualifying times for the medium-small class in our state

to qualify for the largest class - you need pretty close to low level D1 or D2 times

for the 1600 a girl in our state you need sub 5:10 in D1 but just 5:20 in D2

Just do a top 10 list

And maybe try to keep or gather an all time list of like, everyone you can get

Is there a way you can recognize competition results as well as times/distances? Something like everyone who was first in your classification's region or scored at state? If your nearest newspaper (or I guess these days, online publication of record) lists an all-city or all-region team, you could include anyone who made that.
