I’m a competitive runner turned running coach. I created a deck of cards to teach my athletes the fundamentals of a physically and mentally healthy running career. Fun First is a saying I believe in, so making strength, plyometric's and stretching fun was important. I found a heightened level of commitment from my runners when they were able to choose, even blindly, their own exercises. My favorite section is Optimism. I’ve built both individual self-reflective cards with positive affirmations, as well as fun team building games. I call the cards my Secret Saos (pronounced Sauce) which stands for Strength, Agility, Optimism, and Stretching.
