Shoes?
This was first big high school meet that was cancelled last year, costing Josh Methner & Ryan Shoppe their attempts at a sub-14 and possibly Chris Derrick's 13:55 national record for a high school only race.
So, a solo 14:06 is very impressive.

Except you failed to mention that Parker broke the existing record of 14:13.26 by almost 7 seconds which was set by Cooper Teare who I'm sure you realize is a rather good collegiate distance runner. You also mentioned attempts at breaking 14 minutes that were unfortunately not allowed to happen because of the national pandemic.
Mentioning fictional attempts at a record that wasn't set at this meet and not mentioning the record Parker Wolfe broke and who it was set by IMHO is only to diminish the young man from Colorado fantastic accomplishment!
He ran a 14:06, saying they could've gone for a record prior doesn't diminish what he did
Nice kid. Watched him grow since freshman year. Very happy for him. Just ran by his HS a couple minutes ago.
Foot fetishist smh
