Currently am sophomore in high school and primarily run the 3200. I ran 16:58 in XC and currently am sitting at a 4:53 1600 and 10:20 3200. I want to get my 3200 down to sub 10 and I have about 3 weeks to get there.
Some workout I have done previously are
4x1k, (3:22, 3:11, 3:08, 3:07)
10x400 (averaged 69-71)
3 mile pace run at 5:45 pace
Hill repeats (10-12 reps)
Long run of 8.5 miles at 6:20-6:30 pace
And more regular mileage in between
Currently doing somewhere in the neighborhood of around 40 mpw.
If anyone has any advice on what I can do better to reach my goal it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
