I am a bigger guy 165-170 radge, i notice when i run all my mileage on pavement my shoes wear out so fast, especially the workouts. So recently i have been running most of my mileage on the grass, and on the track. I avoid road at all cost, after all, it's unnatural, wares out your shoes and is bad for your body long term. However because of unavailability sometimes i am forced to run on not the best grass, my times start to slow down for the tempos. Does it matter if you are 20 seconds slower on grass, sence the same mechanics and effort is involved.
