My serious GF has a group of guy friends whom shew knew before we were together, and I pretend not to care when she hangs out with them, but it really pisses me off that she spends time with other guys. I want to be the only man in the world to her. How do the rest of you deal with the "guy friends" situation?
What I DON'T do is post on LetsRun asking for advice about it. Not unless I'm looking for cheap entertainment.

I hear ya man, it's pretty irritating. Personally I would just tell her how you feel, but make clear that you won't hold it against her if she continues hanging out with them... then just suck it up and deal with it. it's really the only fair thing to do

Sounds like your "serious" girlfriend has her cake and is eating it to! It's fine that she has guy friends, but it's not fine if she doesn't at least ask to include you in there "hanging out". I have a fiance and I have girlfriends that I have known along time but I have made sure my fiance either has met them or can meet them if she likes. I go out with these other girlfriends as a group partying without my Fiance who doesn't party much. Because I am so open about it and the girls although cute, pose no threat in my Fiance's eyes there is no "backlash". What you write sounds concerning in the sense it seems like your Serious girlfriend wants to keep these long term friends separate from you. I would let her know it bothers you, if she is keeping them separate and be cool and strong and let her know this isn't working out and recover by taking it slow and making some Girlfriends of your own, by this don't try hitting on them just make some friends, you may get your girlfriend to see things diferen't in the end and she will respect you and want you more and if not you've moved on.

I started a thread dealing with my girlfriend and her dad’s relationship. My girlfriend’s dad’s wife had left him and he “forcefully” grew closer to his daughter, my girlfriend. To make a long story short, the majority of people on letsrun had said I was acting inappropriate and that there was nothing wrong with a father having a close friendly relationship with his daughter. I remained bitter and knew deep down it was wrong, but I loved her and that’s is all I knew for sure. Just recently my girlfriend had left me after we became engaged because her father had convinced her that I was not Mr. Right. I don’t agree with him politically and religiously to name a few. He had it out for me all along, but finally has found someone that is good enough with his daughter. If I would have taken advice from these group of posters I would have been screwed. If I wouldn’t have, I would have been screwed.
To here I am, a typical letsrun poster giving relationship advice. “It seems my hypocrisy has a boundry.”
Good luck with the girl, I’m never tolerating guy/girl friendship’s unless it’s my own.

Dude, if you are that insecure, you need to check on your own issues. You cannot be all things to her just as she cannot be all things to you. I have female friends I run with--wife knows nothing is gonna happen. She has male friends she does stuff with--big deal.

i had a talk with my girlfriend telling her uncomfortable it made me when she hung out with other guys. since then, it's been a lot better. i didnt give any ultimatum or anything, just has a little talk...
My girlfriend has some guys that she hangs out with and even though it shouldn't bother me it does- a lot. But I can't tell her because I'll seem like some insecure freak, which I am but she doesn't need to know that s***. What I do is hang out with some girls or even better just one girl and she gets all jealous and s*** and then the lightbulb over her head goes off above her head and she knows how it feels. Stick it to the b*****
If you have been dating her for more than a year, she needs to limit her time with other guys. I am not saying that she cannot be friends with guys, but having a guy friend when you guys are serious needs to be kept in check. The guy should be respectful about it too. Who are these guys? Why don't they want to meet you? Explain to her that most guys who are just friends would want to meet and include you as well. If not, i'd be wary of these "friends." Think about it.
This shouldn't be something that causes a fight. I have friends who claim they can keep close friends of the opposite sex while dating someone, but it always causes issues, and if not, they usually end up sleeping with them or something.
Can you give us some detail about what she does with these guys, how many of them there are, why she likes them, are there girls too?

The thing about this group of guys is that one of them is gaga over my girl and the rest are horny losers who like her, they can't be trusted. But like I said, when I spend some time with a good-loooking girl she gets jealous and she is not subtle about it. Fight fire with fire.
