Very strong! Is that his pr?
Love that he wears a watch.

His PR is 6.42 from 2018, the year he went silver in the 60m behind Coleman and ahead of Ronnie Baker. Fifth fastest man in history
10.05 (+0.6) outdoor opener
He'll go sub ten this season, hopefully he can run a small PR with a high 9.8
Even if he can go low 9.9, if he times his peak right, he’s a threat for bronze
Apparently if anyone wants to PR, they should just visit Moratalaz. Feel like I'm starting to see a trend there.
I feel like we should gather up all the best sprinters of the world and, the year after every Olympic, have a kind of 100m traveling circus/tour where they all get to run semis and finals in the 100m dash at the following locations:
El Paso, Texas. US
Moratalaz, Madrid
Rieti, Italy
Lausanne, Switzerland
Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
And, maybe to lesser degrees,
Eugene
Provo
Rome
If you ever want to down Bolts mark, just juice everybody up and have them run consistently at those locations. It would fall, and maybe shockingly quickly.

Eh....
I mean I guess I'd root for that idea. But I'm not sure how much of a clear threat hed be for the third US spot, exactly. Like, if he was consistently a 9.95 guy, h3d theoretically be in the discussion as the third best is the US....but it would be a tight squeeze for him, I think, with no guarantee. I mean, there's be a scenario for him, for sure....but that's just on the US.
A bronze in an Olympics or WC?!?! With enough strategic injuries and false starts, perhaps. But while that 9.91 with a +0.2 looks promising....look at his #2 and beyond, and keep in mind winds and altitudes.
Those numbers don't imply to me that he can hang well with (over 100m, mind you) with the top Ameicans, PLUS the DeGrasses and other ilk of the world. At least in terms of medal threats.
I agree, maybe not the most likely for bronze but he’s hopefully back in form for the final

Totally agree. I mean opening like that certainly bodes well. We'll have to see how his season progresses to see if he can build on it from there, but glad he seems to have things in order. Certainly some sub 10s are in the offing, to say the least, and which is at LEAST required for a finals shot and, of course, medal chances.
