Just ran 4 second PR in the indoor mile, 4:18 (63-2:06-3:11), wasn't focused on racing in the last lap but can't complain too much. What do I have to do to run around 3:54 outdoors?

You have to go about 5-6 seconds faster, your current 1500m seems to be around 3:59-4:00.
In comparison, the year I ran my outdoor 1500 PR, I was about 6.5 seconds slower indoors at the same distance. In 3 months, I made a 6.5 second jump.
Can you share your event training please? Want to go 4:20 this year.
Cheers
3:55 1500 is about 61 sec per lap. To run 3:55 you prob want something like (61-2:03-3:05). I would focus on improving your 800m speed if possible.
My bad should be about 62/400m, (62-2:05-3:08)
Honestly just keep doing whatever training you were doing to get you here, albeit maybe faster. I think a lot of guys try to make a shift into some new, harder training once they hit a break through but end up hurting themselves long term and hitting a wall in outdoor. Just do the same training with some more focus on the basics, eating/sleeping well, strength and mobility work, good form. Maybe add like some real top end speed but mostly you'll reach improvement through natural progression in your training.
