This is is why you should always carry loaded firearms on your runs. I do plenty of runs where I trespass on private farmland, and I guarantee if I didn’t have a revolver to wave at everyone redneck I pass, someone would’ve blown me sky high by now.
Britain has suffered from a plague of moped acid attack muggings in the last few years, but this is the first I've read of a moped ass attack.
Out of curiosity, do Americans really not know what a "bum" is?

A bum is a homeless person in America.
And a fag is something totally different in America, too. (not a cigarette)
And a fanny.
Is this really news?

I thought the “translation” was unnecessary and the thread title a bit iffy, myself. Something like “4:00 British 1500 runner Sarah McDonald reports being sexually violated on her run today” may have yielded higher quality replies.
Anyway, my sympathies to McDonald. Hopefully karma (if not the law) catches up with the perps and they never pull this crap again, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Terrible that women have to worry about this kind of thing.
I’ll be rooting for her to become a sub-4 runner this year.
This is definitely a Rojo thread. That is all.
pretty cut and dry stuff. not good at all. i don't think this is something that is very common though. the cat calling, etc.; who cares. I'm a guy and get it often enough from drive-bys.
Maybe she has a homeless friend that runs with her and that bum was groped.
Had to clear that up.
Someone once tried to touch my bum on a walk near the reservoir. I threw him into the reservoir and then I ran away.

In case no one else does - I'll tell you who cares: female runners care (in addition to many male runners ((and it probably isn't a stretch to go further say that a decent percentage of non-runners of both sexes care as well)).
Getting cat called by someone who cannot physically overtake you is not a threat. Getting cat called by someone who can physically overtake you is a threat.
Yes, this is why you need an item that I have not been legally allowed to refer to.
The fact that she wasn't carrying an AR-15 extended mag on her run is beyond me. She could've destroyed him with a gun like that! Maybe she could've strapped a bayonet for close range melee combat. Every-time I run I make sure to line the whole path with C-4 so if anyone sketchy comes near me I press that trigger and everything goes KABOOM. What a dummy
Damn dude. You said it; not me.

This, this, this! Are men really still so out of touch?! Pathetic.
This is a tradegy.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
