Our new homepage should be live now (or in a few minutes if you don't see it).
Brief article on the update below.
Our goal was to make LetsRun a little more modern, to be able to present content in more complex formats, and to be able to highlight content that is more than 48 hours old. Plus, now the site should be faster and you can access your accounts on the homepage.
We want your feedback and any issues you have. Either post here or email me directly [email protected].
A big thank you to intern Ben for the inspiration and for Erik for the work in bringing this about.

We should have bet whether the first post was going to be positive or negative.
LancRunner you get a free LetsRun or 1:59:40 shirt of your choice.
Please email me. -
It took 8 minutes for someone to spot a typo and claim the shirt.
Althea Thomas' name was spelled wrong. -
new frontpage looks great
missing the yellow a bit tho -
I like the new changes. Well done guys

If there’s one thing I would add, maybe some grey or blue text boxes around some of the text. If you scroll down it’s just white page with text on it. Doesn’t look bad but could be spruced up a bit

+1 on this -
It seems more inviting and less overwhelming. And easier to find something that grabs your attention.

I've followed LRC for years....this is NOT an improvement from what I can see/tell.
A prime example of changing for no good reason..... -

yeah, more solid divisions than just the thin grey stripes. the eyes need a visual break -
Going to miss the MS Paint logo...

It looks great, but it doesn’t feel like LetsRun. Letsrun is the underbelly of the running community where everyone posts their worst and most un-PC takes on running here. The website should feel like that, and the old design did that. This new one feels too clean and like letsrun is a legitimate place to actually discuss running and not get berated by trolls.
-
Much more mobile friendly!
-
I like it. New designs always take some getting used to but the flow of the page seems better already.
Cheers -
I like it. I like that you kept the "what's hot" forum thingie on the upper right side for quick access. I started scrolling down the (new) homepage just now, looking for it, starting to growl--and then thought to look for it in the same old place, and there is was. Bravo.
There's always a risk in changing what's working. You were very shrewd to keep the forum looking exactly the same. The clubhouse has a complete makeover upstairs, but the showers and dressing room down in the basement still has the same funky........
Hmm. That doesn't sound right. But I like that you left the showers and dressing room alone. Folks will get used to the upgrade upstairs pretty quickly, I'm sure. -

Good suggestion. Most newssites have a lot of white but we want to do more say with the Better Shoe site down the road and can put more color for the non news stuff. Plus we can add some graphics, etc. -

We are able to change the slogan and may do it from time to time.
Where Your Dreams Become Reality will make a comeback from time to time but open to suggestions on slogan. -
I really like the way, scrolling down, that various sectors of running news are cleanly subdivided and themed. This may have been a part of the old design, but I never noticed it because of the--well, the clutter. The upgrade definitely feels decluttered.
One suggestion: I really like the four "Letsrun classics" at the very bottom of the homepage. But I miss that one epic thread--or was it a thread collection?--by Carolina Runner that used to sit at the top of the discussion board. It was the ultimate sticky thread. And there was just do much great training advice in it. I'll simply vote for SOME epic thread from the early days being added to the very bottom of the homepage. Perhaps you could ask LRers to submit nominations for the greatest all-time thread and then take a vote. (Actually, if you did that, you'd get one of the out-the-fraudsters threads; that's not what I was hoping for.)
Cheers, though. Nice job.
