Yep the little fella is fast. A white Ethiopian.
So there was thread here a few weeks ago when he ran 3.36 solo in a crappy NZ meet in howling wind and I distinctly remember someone claiming it was preposterous to contemplate that he could run 3.33 in a fast European meet like Monaco.
Ah yes, here is the thread..

Well guess what, he just ran 3.34 indoors in February. You think 3.33 outdoors is a "classic letsrun hype" now?
Sam Tanner is the real deal. Stud.

True that. When I first saw him burst onto the scene I thought that he would either run sub 3:30 or sub 12:50.
Boom!! Right on mate. Totally epic run by him!! :-D
Cooper Teare did split 3:35 yesterday but Tanner was still faster
This has been a wild weekend

Overshadowed by the performance of Teare because his mile performance was stronger
and overshadowed by Hocker's performance. The US may actually, finally have some legit 1500 guys in a couple of years. Hopefully at least the caliber of Grice, McSweyn & Wightman.
Side note. Funny that the guy that ran 7:24 in a 3000 last week, Wale, just ran a 3:35 mid in France. Slower than Tanner even. Funny that some fanboys people were thinking Kiplimo or Cheptegei could surely go below 3:30 with their talent. Just like Wale, 3:35 would be a typical hard attempt for them, with 3:32 a limit for them in a perfectly paced, loaded Monaco or such.
